I made this sewing machine cover this weekend with some material I had left over from the rice therapy bags I made as Christmas gifts. I didn’t have a pattern and it was fun to just make it up and make it how I wanted it. It’s a pretty simple design, just a large rectangle with ribbons on the sides to tie it together. I did make it reversible (the other side is the material I used for the apron) and I quilted the two pieces together with low-loft batting and used bias binding around the edges.
My machine (my grandmother’s Singer) has a cabinet, but I very rarely put it back down, so this way the machine stays protected from dust and it looks pretty.
